FRESH PRODUCE FRIDAYS ON BRIDGE ROAD – Starting July 1, Sandra Kay & Henry Bender of H&S Farms in Roane County will sell local and regional fresh produce – squash, cucs, beans, tomatoes & more from their own farm and watermelons & cantaloupes from our neighboring southern states.  Look for their tent on the grassy strip by the City National drive thru on Walnut & Bridge.  Please come out and support our newest venture!

BRIDGEFEST WAS GREAT – A terrific turnout, great weather, music, food & activities.  Thanks to the many volunteers who made this happen and many thanks to all the residents of Charleston who came out for the evening. 

OUR NEXT EVENT:  BRIDGE ROAD GIVES BACK

Goodwill will have a truck on Bridge Road August 16 & 17th – Bring a donation and receive a “BridgePack” with coupons for savings at 13 participating Bridge Road businesses.   Read the attached Goodwill newsletter for information also.  Goodwill newsletter  Coupons good until August 28, 2010, certain restrictions apply in each shop.  Participating shops include:  The Art Store, BR Bistro, Charlie, City National Bank, Cornucopia, Eggplant, Geraniums, Holl’s Chocolates, Kid Country Toys, Pea Pod Printing, Sweetpeas Children’s Shop, & Yarid’s Shoes.
